The 10th Mountain Legacy Parade is back! Throughout the winter, spectators will be able to witness skiers dressed in traditional 10th Mountain Division Ski Trooper uniforms. They will perform a torchlight ski down to the base of Gondola One. After which a parade of veterans will march towards the 10th Mountain statue. A feature film, Camp Hale 10th Mountain, will be presented along with fireworks to mark this special occasion. After the celebration comes to close the Colorado Snowsport Museum will be accessible for attendees to learn about Colorado’s ski history.

“The 10th Mountain Legacy Parade brings history to life and pays homage to the founders of Vail and those that have represented our country,” said Doug Lovell, chief operating officer at Vail. “This event is an example of the partnership between the town and the resort and how we can work together to bring the past into the present.”

Make sure you arrive on time for a chance to take home a commemorative Legacy of Vail pin and also enjoy hot chocolate in the snow.
