The Vail International Dance Festival will be held this summer, from July 27th to August 10th. There will be 3 premiers, 11 performances, 1 Artist-in-Residence, and 1 Comany residency. Venues are the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater (an outdoor venue that seats 1,260 guests covered and 1,300 outside on the hill), and the Arrabelle at Vail Square in Lionshead Village, which hosts the Village Vignettes and other off-stage events. Performances will be held against the beautiful backdrop of the Gore Mountains.

The J3 Junior Olympics were held in Vail this year from March 3rd to the 10th, hosted by Ski and Snowboard Club Vail. This level emphasizes techniques in slalom, giant slalom, and super G racing.The contestants were 180 13 to 14 year old skiers who competed in the Golden Peak Competition Arena in Vail and Beaver Creek. Many JO contestants go on to compete in the Olympics, such as Chris Del Bosco, Sarah Schleper and Lindsey Vonn.

Bachelor Gulch is the hub of these authentic mountain communities. My favorite part is riding down the windy hill towards Avon and taking in the crisp air of Colorado. I love to challenge myself to see how long I can cruise without using brakes.
