5th Annual Jackson Hole Mountain Festival

The 5th Annual Jackson Hole Mountain Festival is a weekend of celebrations, marking the end of winter and the beginning of spring in the Tetons.
The weekend begins March 27th with a free concert by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals.
The Marmot Coombs Classic event takes place March 28th. This is a celebratory ski event in the memory of Doug Coombs, a legendary alipine skier from Jackson Hole who helped pioneer extreme skiing, and died trying to rescue a friend. Free registration is from 8:30am to 1pm at the bottom of the mountain, between the train and the gondola. The event runs from 9:30am to 1:30pm, and each participant receives one raffle ticket for every lap completed. There will be a party from 3pm to 5pm outside Nick Wilson's Cowboy Cafe.
Raffle prizes include:
- Coombs Sidecountry Collection outfit (jacket and pants)
- 2010 Backcountry 30 and Sidecountry 20 ski packs (both inspired by designs from Doug)
- Randonnee Ski Gloves
- Rival Helmets
- Carbon Lockjaw poles
- K2 Coombacks with skins
Check it out if you're staying at the Four Seasons Residence Club in Jackson Hole!
