Lake Tahoe summer reservations are increasing, according to Andy Chapman, the Director of the North Tahoe Resort Association. They have increased 18% for July and 7% for August since last year!

The new Ritz Carlton Club Lake Tahoe Northstar resort has something to do with the increase in reservations. Steven Holt, Public Relations Director, says that the new Ritz Carlton has brought interest to Lake Tahoe, as well as a new luxury clientele.

Wedding related reservations have also contributed to the increase. Lake Tahoe is becoming an increasingly popular setting for destination weddings. The Ritz Carlton has several indoor and outdoor venues for wedding ceremonies and receptions, accommodating parties from 60 to 300 guests. The Meadows and The Woods are perfect for mountain top weddings, and the Ritz Carlton Ballroom and Pines Ballroom are perfect for elegant, indoor receptions.
