Snowmass Balloon Festival

This year's Snowmass Balloon Festival takes place the third weekend of September, from the 17th to the 19th, in Snowmass Village Town Park. This tradition begain in 1975, and is a famous fall event, known for how beautiful the colorful hot air balloons look against the changing fall foliage. Hot air balloon festivals actually occur nationwide throughout the year, but the Snowmass Balloon Festival is particularly famous for its unique balloon competitions, such as:
- Colorado Rat Race
- Dawn Quixote
- Target Tubing
Last year there was also the Snowmass Wine Festival, so hopefully there will be one this year as well...and don't forget about the Aspen Saturday Farmer's Market!
This is a perfect family or couples' event to attend if you are staying at the Ritz Carlton Residence Club in Aspen Highlands this September!
