Things To Do In Vail During the Summer

There are plenty of activities for people of all ages and interests to do in Vail during the summer! If you're staying at the Ritz Carlton Club Bachelor Gulch this summer, take advantage of everything the Vail/Beaver Creek area has to offer.
 
1. Bunjee Trampoline: opens Memorial Day weekend, located at the base of Centennial Express Chairlift.
    Hours: 9am to 5pm
 
2. Climbing Wall: opens Memorial Day weekend, located at the base of Centennial Express Chairlift. Safe for the whole family! There are a variety of different routes to the top, and climbing experts will assist you as you climb
    Hours: 9am tp 5pm
 
3. Cookie Time: did you know that they serve freshly baked cookies every day at 3pm at the centennial Express Chairlift? Head to the second level of escalators to get yours!
    Hours: 3pm
 
4. Gore Creek Fly Fisherman: Voted #1 Fly Fishing shop for 2009 by Vail Daily's "Best of" awards. Guides will take you to the best fly fishing spots and give you some pointers. This is Vail Valley's oldest fishing shop and most prominent guide service in Beaver Creek, Vail and Avon.
    Four locations:
             1. Beaver Creek Village
             2. Ritz Carlton Bachelor Gulch
             3. Westin Riverfront in Avon
             4. Vail Village
 
5. Hot Air Balloons: Camelot Balloons is the oldest locally operating, full time hot air balloon company in the area. They offer year round balloon tours of River Valley for 4-8 passengers at a time.
 
6. Miniature Golf: This 18-hole "championship" miniature golf course is located in Beaver Creek Village and opens Memorial Day weekend. Enjoy playing a fun game of mini golf with the family with beautiful views of the mountains and resorts.
    Hours: 9am to dark
 
7. Mountain Biking: 
    - BC Sports at the Centennial Express Lift, open 9am to 4pm
    - Aalta Sports at the Beaver Creek Plaza in St. James Place
 
8. Nordic Fitness Walking combines upper and lower body workout; walkers depart from the Hiking Center at 9am.
    Hours: 9am to 10:30am
    Dates available: June 12th through Sepember 6th
    Cost: $16 per person, minimum of 2 adults
    *24 hour notice required
 
9. Nova Guides: whitewater rafting, fishing, Jeep/Hummer tours, guided ATV tours, ATV rentals, and paintball.
 
10. Summer Chairlift rides: Centennial Express Chairlift

      Hours: 9:30am to 4:30pm (weather permitting)

11. Golf at Beaver Creek Golf Club or the Red Sky Golf Club. The clubs also have tennis courts and restaurants for the whole family to enjoy.

12. Lakota Guides: go for a relaxing float trip or an adventurous white water rafting trip. Backcountry 4X4 trips also available. Complimentary pick up from any major hotel in Vail Valley.

13. Beaver Creek Stables: Go for 1-2 hour trail rides, 3 hour picnic rides and trail rides to Beaver Creek Lake, or sunset dinner rides to Beano's Cabin.
      Hours: 9am to 5pm
      Dates available: June 1st to October 1st
