Havana Blue Restaurant is a stylish, South Beach meets New York, restaurant at Frenchman's Reef. The flickering candlelight, sheer white curtains, loungey music, and spectacular views make Havana Blue a must visit for guests of the Ritz Carlton Club St. Thomas. Executive Chef Omar Sanchez has created an innovative and eclectic menu with a mixture of spicy Latin American cuisine and Caribbean lobster and local fish. Recommended dishes are duck crepes, plaintain crusted red snapper, and the grilled ancho-rubbed beef fillet with wasabi mash. There is a seven course tasting menu available for $125 per person.

Oceana

Oceana is known as one of the best restaurants in St. Thomas, serving fine seafood and tropical cuisine. The location, a historic house at the water's edge, makes it a great spot for a romantic date or special occasion. Oceana has a wonderful tasting table each night, which is an assortment of 12 different tapas appetizers created by the sous chef, Jennifer Litwin. Dishes you might find on the tasting table are smoked oyster with crab and avocado, wild rice lamb Manchego, or portabello topped with bacon and goat cheese. Recommended for the main course is the sea bass with red onion, spinach couscous and red pepper sauce; diver scallops with sweet potato puree and curried apple cream. Desserts to try are the mango, papaya and pineapple tarts, or the bittersweet chocolate soufflé.

Old Stone Farmhouse

The Old Stone Farmhouse was built in the 1700s as a stable for a sugar plantation, with thick stone walls and ceiling fans to keep patrons cool. This restaurant is rustic and romantic, perfect for a date or special occasion. Old Stone Farmhouse serves Continental fare, like escargots with garlic butter, fish entrees (the house specialty), and thick, perfectly cut, grilled steaks.

Craig and Sally's

Craig and Sally's is an elegant tapas restaurant that is known for having creative dishes. Owners Craig (from Connecticut) and Sally are a husband and wife duo. After visiting St. Thomas, they decided to move there permanently. Recommended dishes are pork with stuffed clams, filet mignon topped with macadamia nut sauce, and twice baked potatoes stuffed with lobster!

There is a wonderful view, outdoor dining, romantic wine room dining, white tablecloths and fine crystal. Recommended dishes are the pistachio encrusted brie, spicy conch fritters with mango chutney, rack of lamb, seafood crepes, and passion fruit cheescake - and they have one of the best wine lists on the island!

Tavern on the Waterfront has a gorgeous view and inviting interior. It is one of the most popular restaurants on the island, and has a bar and live music. They serve a variety of cuisines, including Caribbean, Continental, European and Polish. Recommended dishes are the signature slow roasted baby back ribs in mango chipotle BBQ sauce, conch chowder, almond crusted grouper, and wiener schnitzel.

Thirteen

Thirteen is not a restaurant that most St. Thomas tourists would know about. It is difficult to find (so make sure you find a cab) and does not have a website, but rather relies on word-of-mouth. This locals' secret favorite restaurant is always busy and serves delicious food, like roasted duck breast, shrimp and lobster fettucini, sesame seed crusted salmon, bacon wrapped filet mignon, crab and artichoke crusted snapper, rack of lamb, blacked mahi mahi, and chardonnay steamed mussels. For dessert, try the salted chocolate brownie or glazed donut bread pudding.

Buddha Bar

Buddha Bar is slightly out of the way, but worth trying! They serve great rolls and grilled Japanese entrees in an elegant and serene atmosphere. There is outdoor dining on the patio and a full service bar that serves Japanese beer and sake. Patrons can sit at the sushi bar and watch the chefs prepare sushi. Recommended rolls are the crunchy roll, Special K roll, Hawaiian Poki roll, and Volcano roll. A dish to try is the Togarashi Spiced Fried Calamari and the mussels. Buddha Bar also has Full Moon parties throughout the year. Join them at 10pm for late night drinking and dancing.

Tony Romano has created a wonderful Italian restaurant in Romano's Restaurant that serves classic Northern Italian fare. Tony Romano is also an artists and his work is displayed throughout the restaurant. Try the four cheese lasagna, osso bucco, veal Marsala, or homemade pastas with Tony's signature sauce - creamy with mushrooms, prosciutto, pine nuts and parmesan cheese. Pair your dish with one of many wines from their extensive wine list.

Walker's By the Sea

Walker's By the Sea in Lindbergh bay is an elegant seafood restaurant that is family owned and operated. Dine on a delicious, huge, half lobster stuffed with shrimp, crab, herbs and lemon; shrimp scampi Victoria with cream sauce; lobster, scallops and shrimp in cognac and white wine sauce; a variety of pastas with seafood; boneless duck breast with blackberry sauce; West Indian stewed conch; or NY strip steak. Sunday is the busiest day at Walker's thanks to their amazing breakfast. The Caribbean Delight is an intense breakfast that includes spinach, eggplant, papaya, onions, saltfish, hardboiled egg, pumpkin fritters, and plantains! The lunch menu includes dishes like stewed mutton, lobster, Cornish hens, local fish and conch.
Owner Wendel Walker from Barbuda has worked hard to make Walker's a luxurious experience. The VIP room is a special room where you can eat lunch for $75 per person and dinner for $175 per person. Each place setting in the VIP room cost $600, including the crystal and silverware.

Mahogany Run Grill Room
The Mahogany Run Grill Room at the Mahogany Run Golf Course has been renovated in the past few years. It is now a very elegant and modern establishment, and serves a modern fusion of Latin, Asian, and French cuisine with some American and Caribbean influence. Executive Chef Yamil Sanchez calls this eclectic mix of styles "noble cuisine." For appetizers, try the chicken or beef satays, the scallop lollipops and the Peruvian ceviche. They have many delicious salads like the Beef Carpaccio, Lobster in Love (chunks of fresh lobster over arugula with passionfruit or ginger saffron vinaigrette).
Recommended dishes for your main entree are the halibut, salmon, or sea bass with Spanish risotto; the Royal Mignon, which is a grilled filet with a wasabi mash; the Canadian lamb with Chenterelle mushrooms, crusted herbs and risotto with malanga veggie chips; the Argentinean Churrasco, a lean grilled beef wrapped around a chorizo with a purple mash. For dessert, try the creme brulee, the banana cheesecake spring roll, or the B52 cheesecake with a B52 shot.The Mahogany Run Grill Room also has a "Feel Good" lounge on a newly renovated patio, with an open air dining room with a stone waterfall and views of the golf course. There is also a banquet room that seats up to 150 guests, perfect for a large party such as wedding reception.
