St. Thomas Restaurants: Havensight Dining

The Havensight Mall is a picturesque outside mall where everything is duty free. It is located at the Havensight Cruise Ship Dock, and there are over 100 stores, restaurants and bars. Take advantage of the free shuttle so that you don't have to walk in the intense heat. There are plenty of restaurants where you can relax and grab some food and cocktails after shopping.

Havensight Cafe

The Havensight Cafe is a great spot to stop for lunch while shopping at the Havensight Mall. It's close to cruise ship docks, has a small inside seating area and a big outdoor seating area with a covered patio. Havensight Cafe serves West Indian food. The items on the menu tend to be a little spicy, but good. Try the Chicken Roti or oxtail, and their fruit juices.

Pizza Amore is a popular St. Thomas pizzeria in the Havensight Mall. They serve handmade NY style pizza that is crispy on the bottom and bready in the middle. They are the winners of St. Thomas Blog's 2010 Best of St. Thomas for "Best Pie." They also make salads and sandwiches, and a delicious Bushwacker!

Delly Deck

Delly Deck is very popular for breakfast and lunch. They serve big portions at a low price. Eat comfort food like blueberry pancakes, waffles, fruit and omelets, and sip on one of their delicious frozen cocktails, like the pina colada or mango daiquiri.

Shipwreck Tavern

Shipwreck Tavern is most well known for its amazing, large hamburgers! St. Thomas Blog named them the "Best Hamburger 2008" and "Best Lat Night Dining 2008," since Shipwreck Tavern is open until 4am. They were also voted "Best Burger of V.I." three years in a row! Their 3/4 lb hamburger is very popular, as well as their Daily Specials and Happy Hour.

Barefoot Buddha

Barefoot Buddha is a popular restaurant at the Havensight Mall in St. Thomas.

Barefoot Buddha is across from the Havensight Mall. It serves coffee, tea, breakfast and lunch, and is an internet cafe as well. They specialize in handmade superfood for those who enjoy healthy eating. It is affordable, casual and funky! Try the sweet potato wrap, or some of their sushi and grilled Japanese entrees.

Rancho Latino

Rancho  Latino in Havensight, St. Thomas serves Domincan Repulican cuisine.

Rancho Latino, in the Vitraco Mall in Havensight, serves Dominican cuisine. Mercedes Fernandez, the owner, is a Dominican native who relocated to St. Thomas. She cooks amazing homemade dishes like stewed goat, onion steak, roast pork, shrimp Mofongo, fresh fish with coconut milk, and homemade flan. Mercedes also has several specialty cocktails like a pina colada, Long Island Iced Tea, Mike Tyson, and Presidente beer and smoothies.

Paradise Point

Paradise Point Skyride is a must-see for tourists. You can go during the day after shopping, or a little later before dinner to enjoy the sunset. The Paradise Point Cafe is at the top of the Tramway, on the upper deck of Paradise Point. Enjoy the scenery while snacking on light appetizers like cheese fries, chicken wings or tacos, or dine on burgers. Paradise Point Cafe was voted "Best Spot for Frozen Drinks" by the Best of V.I Awards.

Off Shore Bar

Off Shore Bar is a popular nightlife spot. They have live music and $2 Heineken and Jagermeister. Bands that have performed there include Faceplant, noneother, junkie rush, breaking form, round two, Big Sky, Gargamel!, The Supervillains, and more. Upcoming bands playing this July 2010 are Danny Morris and Soul Farm.
 

Mojo's Rum & Surf Shack

Mojo's Rum & Surf Shack is a relatively new bar in St. Thomas. It is a tropical tiki bar, made of bamboo with a thatch palm roof and gaslit tiki torches. They start the island party at 5:30 pm, and there is a daily happy hour from 4 to 9. On Saturday from 6 to 9 they have live music, and they also have Full Moon Parties. This new local's hangout has great service and specialty cocktails, as well as finger food, like chips, nachos, peel-and-eat Belizean shrimp. You can also find more substantial fare, like BBQ smoked chicken with Blackstrap rum sauce, honey garlic or spicy jerk sauce.

Great Wall Restaurant

The Great Wall Restaurant in the Havensight Mall may be the only Chinese food restaurant on the island! They serve classic Chinese cuisine with some Caribbean influences. You can find traditional steamed vegetable, fried rice, lo mein, pork, seafood, beef, shrimp and chicken dishes, as well as specialties like the baked lobster wtih ginger and scallion, shredded chicken with shark fin soup, or the carb meat with green pea soup.
