 1. Animal Enounters: Don't miss out on opportunities to see and touch unusual animals! In St. Thomas, you can feed an iguana, swim with turtles and dolphins, and even pet a shark! Go to Coral World Ocean Park and Undersea Observatory, where you can get up close and personal with marine life without actually getting in the water.

There are 120 islands and cays in the Virgin Islands, 8 are inhabited,  4 of which are USVI, and the other 4 are British Virgin Islands. Make sure to explore as many as you can because each has different attractions and culture (for example, St. Croix is the only island where gambling is legal, so they have casinos).

Guides will point out interesting flora and fauna along the way, and describe the history and ecology of each area. If you prefer to venture off on your own, go to St. John's National Park, where you will find 20+ trails and plenty of interesting and beautiful scenery.

5. Golf and Tennis: The Mahogany Run Golf Course at St. Thomas was designed by George and Tom Fazio. The 14th hole of this challenging and beautiful course is located on top of a cliff overlooking the Atlantic, and is one of the most photographed par-3 holes in the world.

6. Skyride to Paradise Point: Enjoy panoramic views of Charlotte Amalie 700 feet above sea level. There is a restaurant at the top and guests can sip on cocktails or have dinner while they watch the ships in the harbor.

7. Shopping: St. Thomas has the best shopping in the Caribbean. Head to Charlotte Amalie's waterfront, the Royal Dane Mall, and the Havensight Mall for duty free shopping and save 40% - 60% of what you would spend in the U.S.

8. Cultural and Historic Sightseeing
    - St. Peter Botanical Gardens: This 11 acre estate is located at the mountain top, among the volcanic peaks, 1,000 feet above Magen's Bay and Hull Bay. There are self guided nature trails that go through 200 varieties of plants and trees, an orchid jungle, and an art gallery featuring local artists.
Blackbeard's Castle in St. Thomas    - Fort Christian: St. Thomas's oldest structure, a National Landmark, and museum of USVI history and culture.
   - Blackbeard's Castle: A National Historic site on St. John; built in 1679 by the Dutch as a Charlotte Amalie watchtower.
   - Seven Acres Museum: Historic home restored and furnished with antique period pieces; still has original slaves quarters and separate kitchen (main attraction). Complimentary tropical drinks in the garden.
   - 99 Steps: Danish engineers built a staircase out of multicolored bricks. This tourist attraction is located in Government Hill, at Kongen's Gade and Store Tarne Gade.
   - Emancipation Gardens: Park where the Emancipation Proclamation was read to free the slaves of St. Thomas. Many concerts are held here, as well as The Carnival Village in April.
